Jessica and Christian!

And now presenting Mr. and Mrs. Christian and Jessica CHASEY!

My cousin got married last weekend. It's such a strange thing to say. Of course, as my cousin pointed out, imagine how it feels for him! Good thing everybody adores Jessica--she's such a kind, smart and beautiful person and I couldn't be more happy to welcome her to our family! Congratulations to the wonderful couple! xoxo

Like I said, Jessica is sweet. She is so sweet, in fact, that she asked me to be a bridesmaid, even though we don't know each other that well yet. What a wonderful way to start a lifetime as cousins!
Tiffany's, my first in fact!)

We started the day early, heading over to the salon early to get pretty. Jessica didn't need make-up, but it did help her look stunning for the entire, very long, day. (:

After the salon, we all got ready at Jessica's mom's house. First though, there was a quick Mac 'n Cheese break. yum yum yum!

This is one of my favorite shots of the whole day. yayyy

Here she might have been saying something like, "I can't breathe easily in this dress" ... haha

She was very self-sufficient. See? She carried the train down the stairs on her own. Miss Independent... :D

There were some nerves though...

And lots of looking gorgeous. Of course.

Isn't she the most stunning bride you've ever seen!!! wowwww

Model shot:

Her favorite flowers are these daisies. What lucky bridesmaids we were!

My aunt. (And Jessica's new mother-in-law.) She looked beautiful in red! ... and had her own little bouquet to boot!

We put them in the pews with the bibles during the ceremony. (:

The doors to the hallway outside the chapel. Aren't they cool!?

This is the chapel where they got married. So regal!

And who doesn't love stained glass windows!? *pretty colorsss*

That's all. Mostly I concentrated hard on being a good bridesmaid and having lots and lots of fun. Mission accomplished!

Congratulations to Jess and Chris! And have lots of fun in St. Thomas!

The Other Bride... :P

St. John's, in Michigan, where my cousin got married, is a very popular destination for weddings. The day my cousin got married alone there were four weddings in the chapel! Wow! The fun thing was that there were other brides wandering around the grounds the whole weekend.... and I snuck around with my camera photographing them! yipee!

To whomever's wife she is now: what a lucky man you are, she's gorgeous!

I think this might be my favorite photo of the whole weekend. The light was perfect and I just adore her dress! <3 I know they spend a lot of money, and I know it's only for one day, but it is sooo sooo worth it. (p.s. and don't forget to check out that ring!)

Look at Mama and those bridesmaids checking out the gorgeous girl. How sweet (:

I don't know who this cake belonged to, but I love it! So sophisticatedddddd <3

Michigan!

I headed out to Michigan last weekend for my cousin Chris's wedding to my new cousin Jessica. The leaves were just changing on the trees and everything was a gorgeous red and green and yellow. And it was a crisp, clean 42 degrees... wow! Even though I LOVE Cal and California in general, it made me wish just a little bit that I had gone to college on the East coast. How cool would it be to have seasons!? Anyways, here's the Michigan shots. The wedding shots will be in a separate post, along with some sneaky shots of other brides also getting married on the premises. :P And I've got photos from a career event I shot last weekend, and some randoms that should make you smile. All coming this week! I promise! :D

Who doesn't need a good airplane window shot?! It's a good overview: Michigan was freakin' gorgeous! *sigh...*

This man sat next to my mom and I on the second flight, from St. Paul to Michigan. His daughter was adorable, but he was even more so: what an amazing father! His baby girl was named Chevelle, after his favorite muscle car (she was "his Chevy" for short) and he was completely enamored of her; he must have given her about three hundred kisses on the airplane. It was the most gosh darn adorable thing I've ever seen in my life. Seriously.

Pretty Michigan leaves... (:

This was the chapel / hotel where they got married. I just loved how the light caught the tree in this photo. What gorgeous sunshine!

This was a cool hallway that you took to get from the Chapel to the hotel lobby. It was such a brick and fireplace kind of space and then here was this cool little hallway. Awesome.

All the rest of the photos coming soon: stay tuned!
